Nathan Lloyd

Nathan Lloyd is a PhD candidate at Ontario Tech University, Canada, investigating social intelligence by way of normative reasoning, theory of mind, and reflection. Through this work, Nathan has utilized simulation tools and symbolic frameworks for discrete event simulation. Alongside this, Nathan is the lead AI researcher for The Pamoja Institute For Community Engagement and Action, where he works with community partners to investigate the impact of a co-designed food sharing application through measures of social capital, social cohesion and food insecurity. Nathan holds a Masters in Artificial Intelligence (2021), and a Bachelors of Computer Science (2020), with interspersed experience within the education sector as a data scientist, facilitator, sessional lecturer, and teaching assistant.
