Asimina Mertzani

Asimina Mertzani is an AI Research Engineer in Inlecom Innovations working on the ideation, coordination, and implementations of the innovative EU funded projects related to sustainability, safety, and well-being. Dr Asimina Mertzani holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Imperial College London, where her research focused on Learning and Innovation in Self-Governing Systems. She also holds an MSc in Applied Machine Learning from Imperial, as well as an integrated Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.

Her academic expertise centres on self-organisation in hybrid multi-agent systems, with her research disseminated through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at international conferences and workshops. Dr Mertzani has delivered lectures, tutorials, and seminars at university level, contributed to summer schools and outreach initiatives, and has played an active role in the organisation of academic workshops and conference sessions.
